Carol Purdy

Carol Grace Purdy died yesterday in Sloan-Kettering Memorial Hospital, NYC, NY., where she was a patient for a month. She had been ill a long time. She was a daughter of Mr and Mrs Douglas H Purdy of Easton. A graduate of Easton Area High School and Parsons College, Fairfield, Iowa in 1970 she was formerly employed as a physical education instructor and girls swimming coach for the Athens, PA School District. For the last five years she was employed by the Pitsburgh PA Board of Education. She was a member of the Bastminster Presbyterian Church, Pitsburgh. Surviving with her parents are a brother, Garvin Wyser, Allentown and a sister, Nancy Elizabeth, at home. A memorial service will be held at 11am Wednesday in the First Presbyterian Church, Easton. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Buffalo, NY.
