Richard Stump

Richard P. Stump, 51, of Wilson Borough, died Wednesday, March 10, in Easton Hospital after being stricken in his home. He retired on disability as a custodian for the Easton Area School District, where he was employed at Easton Area High School from 1967-1985. Prior to that, he worked for the Wilson Borough Highway Department for two years. Born March 29, 1947, in Forks Township, he was a son of Paul J. and Lucy Stamets Stump, with whom he lived. He was a 1965 graduate of Easton High School. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Nancy S. Parry of Bethlehem; a niece, a nephew and a great-niece. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family in the Strunk Funeral Home, 2101 Northampton St., Wilson. There will be no calling hours. Burial will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine in Palmer Township. The family requests memorials to the Northampton County SPCA, 1165 Island Park Road, Easton, PA 18042.
